I actually sand it off, but yeah I remove it.
I do not have the bravery of Mike Doolin, who uses CA on top of the finish to glue the bridge. He explained that he uses a polyester finish - that is applied by a person inside of a space suit, I think :-) - and that he has had zero problems with bridges lifting.
Which still befuddles me - one of the raps against CA is its lack of shear strength, and that shearing would really be pronounced at the bridge, I think. Maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah, well I'm really slow lately. I was slow before, but I have reached new depths of slowness. I should probably sleep more, eat better, exercise, and take my vitamins like the Hulkster said I should back in the 80's. But I don't.Dave Bagwill wrote:No it's not what I said earlier, since what I said earlier was a joke, and I thought you'd get it! :-)
Yep, it's from BB allrighty...

No, you were as snappy and quick-witted as Robin Williams, as charming as Sean Connery, handsomer than Jude Law (according to BRW), and a sex god like Rodney Dangerfield. That last one maybe wasn't the best analogy.
In any case, I'm sure 'you'll be back' like Arnold. You shall return, like MacArthur. And sing 'you're having my baby' like Paul Anka. :-)
I'm done now.
