Building electric guitars Martin Koch

This is the first book on guitar building I read and I was hooked. Talks on semi acoustic and hollowbodys. Some good overall info. Good jigs and fixtures relating to acoustics.

Paul I love hollow body electrics. I own a few. Also own a few solid bodies as well. But when it comes right down to it I'm an acoustic man. I had a friend over once who is magical on a Les Paul. Handed him a 1940 Kay jumbo Archtop. Super nice action a real jazz guitar. He was all thumbs with it. Never realized that there was so much difference beyween electrics and acoustics. I have played both so much I don't find it to big of a deal to switch beyween the two. Electric's are easier to play of course because the actions are faster. But to go all thumbs surprised me very much. I thought everybody had an acoustic to play when they just played for themselves I guess not.
