I had an old plane , (rusty) and had to replace the blade, too pitted to be ground out. Bought a Hock blade and it is so much better than my other plane blades. Though I must admit
I can't afford anything better than those Indian planes. (Under many different labels). Where did you find this blade as my local Rockler and Woodcraft dealers haven't even heard
of a violin blade! (They look like a simple straght wood carving blade... which are either sold out or not ordered.)
