Making an Archtop Guitar -- by --Robert Benedetto

Just got this book and thumbed through it -- what a work of art? I'll do a complete review in that forum section, but I have to mention that Robert includes plans for some cool "make it yourself" tools that every instrument maker could use, including a deep throat thickness caliper. Neat book!

Yes, at the cost of a couple of bucks versus 100+.

Dave Bagwill started a review of this book earlier this summer:

Yes, absolutely a work of art. The typesetting and glossy pages are a joy. I had it from the library for a year and finally got a copy of my own. I've read it cover to cover and refer to it often. The balance of photos, diagrams, and text is fantastic. Bob breaks it all down. You get the feeling there are no secrets, just good practices and attention to detail.

I just ordered this book also , having built violins before I can see the relationship between the two .
