I'm working on my necks. One practice pine and one sapele which is the actual neck for this build. I am going to bolt the pine neck to the body later today to see how the angle to body is. And post some more pics.

Routed the binding channel first step today and will finish with purfling step also. Used the KMG router attatchment. Works well. Although you have to be very contious of what you are doing. And move slowly. May be the tuffest step so far. The back should be interesting with the radius. Moving on up to the the east side!

Yes there is a learning curve to reach an operational comfort zone. -- but the main function of the tool is to prevent damage caused by misalignment and reduce potential for operator error. Basically the only thing you can do wrong is tip the unit off the side toward the top or bottom plate.

I have been busy in my cellar beating the heat in the east. A good excuse to hide away and do some building. Here are some binding pics it worked out well seems. I used Kens red devil scraper trick tip and that works sweet. No need to get crazy about scrapers and all that burnishing stuff!.
