Just a picture with the square on the rim neck block area along the sound board -- take off the neck first. You can remove the other pixs.

Gap at the front is 1/32 nd
Gap at the back is 1/8th

We are looking at/for the slope of the sound board -- the opposite angle you are showing in the pic. Put the square flat against the side and show the sound-board extension area slope. And the back has nothing to do with the neck angle.

Sorry about that---is this the one you wanted? The gap is around 1/4 inch at the binding area

I am sorry I have no idea of what you are showing there? Shorten the rule part of the square, so it lays across the extension area and touches at the sound hole.

You've got to get an understanding of this conceptually; we are trying to measure the slope angle of the SB to rim. As you move forward in the hobby guitar making life is a lot easier if you know where you are headed mathematically the stuff found here is really important:
