Don't worry about me. I'm stocked pretty well now. Haven't bought wood in a while.

I think the first part of your sentence really covered things pretty well.

I use a Baker Horizontal Re-saw from the custom architectural shop I retired from. It has a 30 HP motor and hydraulic hold down feed system. Haven't found a wood I can't re-saw. I get to high grade new shipments, so I get most of my mahogany and domestic woods there. Most of the tops I use I bought from Pacific Tone Woods about 25 - 30 years ago. I have a guitar building class and we buy tops from most of the suppliers of tone wood.

The shop is a supplier of hardwoods and moldings. They mainly make custom molding and door systems. So when they get a shipment of wood in I get to go through the bunks and pick out what I want for both my cabinetry and guitar building. It's just one of the perks of working for them. I still do all the Cad work for them and consult with customers. We've do a lot of the high end construction.
I think the post might of turned towards resawing then I got lost. ;>)

Nice! We get some stuff from LL Johnson, in an hour of sorting I may get two or three billets good enough -- even though its supposed to be the best select material.
