Bridge location directly above plate?

This is another new builder question....

I'm always looking ahead at the next steps of my build
and tend to think about them, do research and try to
be informed. Anyway, I'm using Ken's pre-war template
for my bracing pattern for the top and I began thinking;
once the bridge plate is glued how do we know for sure
that the measurement of the bridge placement will be
directly above the bridge plate? I'm sure there's a way
but it's got me worried because that step is so critical.....

I've used the KMG bridge setter for two different scales and had no problems. KMG makes it easy.

Should I get the KMG bridge setter before I glue the
bridge plate? Or do I go ahead and glue the plate and
all the braces then later use the bridge setter when I'm
actually ready to position the bridge?

I just wanna make sure I don't need it to set the bridge plate.
My intuition is telling me the KMG dread template I'm using will
correctly locate the plate and then the setter will place the bridge
correctly...

It might sound like a dumb question but I'm and expert at those:)

Correct, you do not need the bridge-setter until later. The KMG template shows you the proper placement for the bridge plate at this point in the process.

Like Dave said. Ken's tools are consistent with one another and complement one another, i.e., his templates and his setters are all designed as part of a logical and workable plan. So be assured that the template which gives the plate location will work perfectly with the bridge setter that gives the bridge location.
