Best glue for celluloid?

I've got some faux tortoise bindings I'd like to glue on the gypsy guitar today - what is the suggested adhesive?

I believe you need an acetone based glue I think toulene based will work as well -- of course either will kill brain cells quickly! amazing I stll have the capacity to remember making glue for model airplanes using acetone and fragments of old ping pong balls.
