Looking good Dave. In my limited experience opinion, I think your bracing will be fine, lots of extra stiffness with those F-hole plates.

Glued on the top and back, and trimmed the overhang with a spokeshave. Yeah, I normally use the KMG binding machine (table) to do the trimming, but I've got a peaceful, easy feeling going on and just felt like slowing down and doing it by hand.
As I did, I noticed two small areas of the top that needed a little more glue and clamping

Never though of using a spokeshave to trim the excess away. I haven't been able to make my spokeshave work for anything yet.....I think it needs a tune up.

In for a penny, in for a pound - as long as I was doing stuff 'by hand' I thought I'd cut binding channels using the Gramil my wife got me for Christmas. It works very well, though I had to clean up the channels using my fav tool - the KMG binding channel router, the table top model.

Used Loctite to glue in the tortoise bindings (celluloid), really ugly picture but the duckling should start looking like a swan tomorrow.

Rosie the cat looks enthralled by my work. Not. :-)
