Two more weeks to cure and I'll be ready to glue the neck and complete the setup. Looks better in person where you can see the color separation and the herringbone purfling better.

All done. Notice the bridge. and what one brief distraction can lead to. I was working on locating the bridge when my wife got home and I stopped to give her a kiss hello. When I turned back around after I had done all my preliminary measurements I proceeded to measure from the 11th fret. Didn't notice what I had done and scraped off the finish to glue the bridge. I was almost sick to my stomach, first huge mistake I've made. I jointed the edge of the bridge, glue on an extension piece and voila! Supersized bridge. It's a going away present for my pastor so all is good and the Lord taught me a valuable lesson.

The second one is my first cutaway, thanks to all who helped me work this one out.

Please don't tell me that the larger bridge IMPROVES sound dramatically! :-) That would be a sign of the apocalypse!!

Good save on the bridge Tim, it is so easy to get distracted.
