Thanks for all the great help and suggestions so far on my parlor build.
I have now closed the box and was wondering if its ok to use a router table to trim the overhang with a flush cut bit and using the climb cuts ?
Good idea/ bad idea?
Triiming the top
Re: Trimming the top
Should be OK for the top -- but unless you have a table mounted router system designed to do the job the results will not be as good as using a hand held router. While just a hand held is not the very best solution you can get close enough with a flush cutting ball bearing guided bit. Here's all the reasons a special device is needed for trimming the plate and channeling the rebates on the back of a guitar.
