Nice! I used to really dislike the headstocks with the top narrower than the nut end, but that shape is growing on me and " function is the new fashion". I know it's better to have straight string paths. You sure are staying true to the Gore build, John. Keep the pictures and notes coming!

Fish glue is great for wood bindings and gives lots of time (though a bit messy and stinky IMO), but not for use on plastic as far as I know.

I like the idea of limiting/tapering the ends of the tail block to width of the ribbon lining. Some factories are now doing this (including Martin on some model) makes it a tad easier to put the contour on the back side of the rim. Are those really for bindings? Maybe they are going to be laminated linings? Nice job on the hand bending. I'm wanting to have a hot pipe bender for odd shapes and to touch up after using the bending machine, but it's a pretty big expense if you get the SM/LMII versions and I'm afraid to use the pro...

Hi Beth, You need a vacuum pump -- both the units sold at harbor Freight will work well ( yes I know the tool snobs tell you to stay away from HF -- just pay a couple bucks for the warranty) I think Dave Bagwill has had very good performance from his HF vac pump.
