Re: continuing build thread for Gore Medium body SS
Nice! I used to really dislike the headstocks with the top narrower than the nut end, but that shape is growing on me and " function is the new fashion". I know it's better to have straight string paths. You sure are staying true to the Gore build, John. Keep the pictures and notes coming!

Fish glue is great for wood bindings and gives lots of time (though a bit messy and stinky IMO), but not for use on plastic as far as I know.

I'm wanting to have a hot pipe bender for odd shapes and to touch up after using the bending machine, but it's a pretty big expense if you get the SM/LMII versions and I'm afraid to use the pro...

Re: A handy way to thickness your joined tops and backs
Hi Beth, You need a vacuum pump -- both the units sold at harbor Freight will work well ( yes I know the tool snobs tell you to stay away from HF -- just pay a couple bucks for the warranty) I think Dave Bagwill has had very good performance from his HF vac pump. Now you can get vacuum by attaching...

What is the smallest compressor (psi/cfms) that will work for these pucks, if anyone knows? Thanks! Beth
