I understand that aspect of the math and I have been adding .15" on the guitars that I've done and doubling the 12th fret gives me on the 24.9" a total length of 25.05" which works great for these. But when I look at these plans there seems to be well over .55" of compensation. I...

Here is something that has me puzzled. Now I have not been learning luthiery for very long but I have questions about scale lengths on guitars. I am fairly clear about small bodied 12 fret guitars with 12.75 and 12.9 scales with a compensation factor of .15” added in to get the final string length. ...

I would like to know more about reducing the edges of a soundboard. Is it done to the outside or inside, though I assume that it must be the outside with all the bracing. Tony, you mentioned that you use epoxy for pore filling. I've seen it mentioned for sealing soundboards in Don Teeter's book and I was experimenting with some yesterday on some walnut. you know that to show pictures would be great- the fact that I'm actually chatting on the computer is a first for me as it is! And I have dial up. I live in the blue ridge mountains in a fairly dark hollow and barely see the sun. But I do have some perks where I live
