Stringsfor Walnut guitar

Hi Guys,
Back after some health issues( which happens after you reach 70+).....


I am trying Diadarrio nickel bronze on my first guitar (2009). It is black walnut with red spruce top. I tried nickel wound before and was dissapointed,,, so I'll give the nickel bronze a try. Comments please.

Thanks Herman that's how I built the first few and the straight edge worked fine. I think I need to be more precise now.

Ken, the prices have come way down for the digital angle measurement tools. I found a few on Amazon under $20.

My first crafted guitar which I still play at gigs has a G string with a bit more, sustain somewhat louder than the others with a tone not to my liking. I found that when I use a capo even on the first fret the G string fits in great with all the others.Maybe a nut problem? It sounds good with barre...

I do not pore fill because I don't believe it is necessary or required for a good sounding guitar. Besides I'm basically lazy and it seems like another skill set I must learn. But "open pore technology" sounds like something an out of work marketing specialist might invent.
