Being a model railroader I can tell you that CA does not stick to wax paper...nor aluminum foil. Poorly to delrin but doubt you'd be in that ball field.

Since I live in the northwest, saying it's spruce just brings up the question of why bother, there's spruce all over the place. Potato chipping should be easily handled by leaving in proper humidity a few days and regluing. If it was hide glue, no sweat, just add some new hot glue and it will rediss...

Hide glue is "harder".... more brittle hence may transmit sound better but most importantly it shrinks. The point being that if you've made the perfect joint, it will draw it in tighter until it is almost invisible. If you haven't made the "perfect joint", then maybe PVA is bette...
