Thanks for your quick and relevant replies! @John, I did this calculation and it ends up that the saddle height should be flush with the bridge on the treble side. String buzzing

Hi guys,

I suddenly have a buzzing sound on my dreadnought’s G string. It happens when played loud only and the other strings are fine. My guess would be that the nut slot is too deep but then why did it happen suddenly? Any thoughts?

I didn’t know what a Maccaferri gypsy was. I looked it up and it’s a manouche jazz guitar right? I don’t quite understand why these could tolerate a thinner top.

I’m thinking of making a smaller guitar for my grandson.
