How would you shape the side edges while it’s still in the mold? Maybe a small block plane?

I’ve seen videos on how to make radius dishes. It looks like a mess. Thanks for the tip to do it outside.

So is it any easier to use the KMG contour system than using radius dishes? I was wondering if the KMG system sands the contour on the sides any quicker than “driving the bus” with radius dishes?

I dug around on some of the other posts on this forum and found quite a few pics of the mold in use with the upright bar and the abrasive bar. I could probably build the thing from looking at the pics, but I do have a few questions. The upright metal bar, how big is it? It looks like it is about 3/4...

Profile name changed. Does anyone have any experience with using the KMG system to contour their guitar sides? It looks rather ingenius.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get some plans or help me figure out how to build a KMG mega mold. I am also wanting to build the “Universal Contour Fixture”. This is the bar that stands up in the middle that holds the sanding block that is independent of the part that allows the sides...
