Hey! I sold this beauty! A Vietnamese gentleman came up from San Jose and took it off my hands. First I've sold. He was very interested in that the Narra wood used came from a merchant marine vessel from the Vietnam war period. I gave him some South Vietnamese currency my dad had collected from that...

Three coats of Silvertip. Manzanita has virtually no pores but some knot holes, ant trails, cracks and soft spots that needed stabilizing. Time to sand for nitro application. I'm thinking of scuff sanding with P400 unless someone has another recommendation.

Thanks, Kenny. The inlaid "C" stands proud of the surface with rounded edges. I don't remember what that style of wood inlay is called. It's the white sapwood from the edges of the Manzanita, as are the fretboard markers.

Well, took a while but got the neck ready for finish. Will use OSMO.
I have no idea how to get these right side up. I've deleted and rotated them 3 times now and they're still upside down.

Thin CA. I used to use TB3 but Kevin pointed out the CA worked just as well in a shorter period of time.

I don't think that amount of depth change would have much effect, but Greg's more scientific approach would be something to consider. As to the lower legs of the X-brace, I do not tuck mine and have not had a problem with any top bellying. Check the recent comments in the Soundboards section.
