Replying just to say that even old threads still have value. I found this on a search of techniques for the cutaway neck (heel) block. Ending up reading the whole thing snd enjoyed it greatly. Thanks Herman

Cutting purfling from veneer

I’m planning on cutting colored purfling strips from colored veneer. I’m not sure what would be the best way to do this. Clearly a table saw is out. I’m not sure I can keep it straight enough on a band saw considering the very thin size.

What do others here recommend?
