If you want to stay true to the building's roots I would go with what Ken suggests, however if you are looking for a product that won't look the same as what you've got now a few years down the road I would suggest you see if your local Lowe's or Home Depot has Hardiplank in the shiplap style. Thanks Ken, Dave and John. I really appreciate your thoughts. I did scrape the maple on my first build after my unfortunate experience with wiping down the rosewood (with naptha I think?) left what looked to be a nasty stain on the maple bindings. The scraping worked very well to brighten things up,...
