Wide Wenge bindings are striking. I don't think I've seen bindings that wide. Very original.

It does appear to have a problem with volume. Might just be the way they miked the performance.

A bit awkward, for sure. But I feel there is a lot of musical potential in the way the strings are arranged. The first music she played brought this out nicely.

I think you are right. Classical players are notorious for sticking with tradition. Steel string players want the real deal. High volume can be had with acoustic instruments nowadays.

The sound itself sounds brittle and thin.
