Something different with strings

Post by Kevin in California » Wed Aug 03, 2022 2:09 pm

I started this a few weeks ago taking a little break from my current guitar build.

Can you tell what it is?

Of course Herman. I took 3 weeks of lessons when
I was 7 years old!! Blah haaaaaa

No I don't play but my 3 grand daughters do. This I will give to Sarah next summer when she turns 14...if I finish it and if it works. We shall see.

That is a fun project! I always have been a bit afraid of the plate carving

I carved a few Les Paul tops. It is a lot of effort to get it right and nice.

Where i am now. A rather bad purfling job. Not easy cutting purfling channels in maple by hand.
I may start over with a new back. Not so bad its given me practice.
