Dreadnought Scale Length

Post by Scott Durham » Tue Feb 20, 2018 9:13 pm

I'm building a KMG Dreadnought. The scale length is not 25.4. I can't tell what it is. Can anybody help me figure out what it is? Thanks.

None of us is going to be able to measure your fretboard...Little deviations will mean a lot. Measure from the top of the fretboard to the bottom of the slot for the 12th fret. Double it. That's the scale length for that fretboard.

Did the documentation that came with the kit speak to fingerboards/scale length? Ken was selling 25.34" scale length fretboards. Maybe one of those?

Good luck with your project.

Scott, I think you've wasted nobody's time. We all learn by hands-on discovery and asking questions and processing the answers. I hope I wasn't sounding snarky with my reply, and if so, I apologize.

Again, good luck with your project.
