fixed a band saw

Post by Rick_A » Mon Jan 01, 2024 12:51 pm

Happy New Year all!

Someone gave me this band saw because it stopped working. They tried replacing the capacitor on the motor with no luck and then gave up on it. I checked the voltage on the switch - the input side was 120V but the output side was only 20V. I put in a new switch and the motor turns now!

Cool I went through the same early last year, I order a starter but before installing it mine turned out to be a bad switch as well.
