Not to go too far afield - but what is a minimum compressor for operating pneumatic tools - sanders, nailers and such? Does HF sell one that will do the job?

depends on the tool. A sander might want 10 CFM at 100 PSI. The spray guns look for about 5 cfm at 60-80 psi.

HF has some big compressors.

Not really sure Dave but I bought mine used for a about $200. It is a DeVilbis 20 gal, 5.5 hp, 8.3 cfm @40 psi, 5.5 cfm @90 psi. and I have no trouble running anything in my shop.
