Word puzzle discovery

Post by Dave Bagwill » Wed Sep 26, 2012 3:57 pm

I try to work a difficult crossword plus a scrabblegram puzzle every day. Keeps my mind razor-sharp. (lol...as if)

One of today's scrabble clues was AIUTRNF.

I came up with FRUIT but that left NA to work in somehow.

FRUITAN? Yes indeed, a new word to me, I googled 'fruitan or vegan' and it IS a word.

Now, working it into daily conversation might not be that easy....

Two of my college buddies write crossword puzzles. They are regularly featured in the NY times. Saturday's NY Times crossword puzzle was written by my friend Kristian. I don't like crossword puzzles all that much. Maybe if I were a fruitan, I might like them more.

I always assumed you were a fruitan, even before I learned the word.

It could have been:

Furiant - a rapid and fiery Bohemian dance in 2/4 and 3/4 time, with frequently shifting accents.

Tim - Good one!! The answer is in tomorrow's paper, I'm betting your answer is the one they will give.
Does NOT change the fact that Tony is a fruitan that does a fiery dance.

Mr. Bagwill,
These scathing attacks are not just funny, they are hilarious. My
fruitan hat is off to you.
