Too cool for school,other then my vacuum which does hook up to my power tools I don't have a dust collector. However,I do wear a dust mask with interchangeable filters. Maybe I could do more. I just rarely use the tools.

No I dropped that idea -- its so simple to make. Actually I have rework mine and use a 4" deep filter HEPA (not cheap) and a standard 1" to pre-filter -- so now the unit is only about a 12" deep including the fan -- I'll post a picture. I think I got the last batch of filters from Menard's.

Great idea. I which I would have read it before I bought the Jet dust collector. After a couple of months I need a new filter and as posted the filters are not cheap. Thanks for the pictures and the info.
