The top with a coat of shellac to toughen the western Red Cedar while working on it

The headstock is Ebony Veneer over a neck of African Mahogony. It's what Kalei chose from my selection of woods. The mahogany is a beautiful golden color good choice Kalei

Thanks Dave it was driving me crazy. I'm the kind of guy who when confronted with something I work it out. Thanks to Kyle I was able to do so. Isn't Kalei a cutie? A good old country girl.

Thanks Eric ; I used some guitar wood I had put away. It's not like I'll miss the guitar. I don't have very good skills so it wouldn't have been a seller. So I figure she will get a lot of good out of it. My cousin told me when I took on the job that she will remember me forever. Well I hope so. I'm a sucker for kids. They know it too. Lol

I got both the top and back attached. Still trimming. I bought a fence for my bandsaw to come in so I can cut the binding.
