Re: Sorry to inform you...

I am am so sorry to hear what you have been experiencing. It is good to hear you are on the back side of an intense regiment of treatment and are at least feeling OK. Enjoy your time in the shop.

Re: Pinless bridge question

I missed that. I do not think that is would be an issue. Pinned bridge sort of have the same issue when the string angles to the saddle out of the bridge pin holes.

Re: Pinless bridge question

I saw some stress simulations, that showed there was not that much difference at the tail side of bridge pinned vs pin less. What is happening is that the bridge is rotating based on torque on the saddle. That force the same in pin-less and pinned rotates the bridge trying to peal it off the top. So...

Re: Thin soundboard

make a classical or a ukulele! Too thin for a steel string. The braces will really telegraph through the top. Also the main voice of the guitar is the top, I will not spend all the time it takes to build a guitar and compromise on the top.

Re: Dent in top. Solutions?

If I fill it is always with a slice of the same top wood. If it is a top to bottom direction scratch it can blend in a bit. Any other fill always shows. If the scratch is narrow enough I have filled with a clear filler and finished over. On a top any solution I have assumes I can finish sand the ent...
